How Boulder B-cycle Works

Follow these easy steps

Purchase system access (24-hour access available at any B-station, longer passes online)

  1. Boulder B-cycle offers three kinds of access: 24-hour, 7-day, and annual membership.
  2. All access levels can be purchased online (credit card required).
  3. 24-hour access can be purchased at B-stations (credit card required) or online.

Select

Choose a bike from any B-station.

If you have a B-card:

  1. Press the silver button located above the row of colored lights on any bike’s dock.
  2. Touch your B-card to the square behind the silver button.
  3. Remove the bike once the locks open (dock will start beeping after the bike is unlocked).

If you do not have a B-card, but already have an access pass:

  1. Use the kiosk screen to indicate that you would like to check out a bike
  2. When prompted, swipe the same credit card registered with your access pass.
  3. Choose a dock number and remove the bike.

Ride

Keep every ride under one hour! Usage fees apply to all rides over 60 minutes.

  1. Adjust your seat, strap on your helmet, and go.
  2. Rides of less than one hour incur no additional fee.
  3. Additional fees apply for rides longer than one hour (see rates).

Return

Return your bike at any B-station. Repeat by checking out another bike!

  1. Return your bike to any B-station by rolling it into an available dock.
  2. Watch for three rapid blinks of the green light and listen for three quick beeps. That’s your signal that the bike has been securely returned.
  3. Take an unlimited number of rides while your access pass is active, but keep each ride under one hour. Check out a bike using the kiosk screen.
